Durango Doug is an imaginative cowboy alter-ego created by Doug Funnie in the episode Doug Way Out West when he tells his classmates a few tall tales about being an expert horse rider, when he only really rode a pony as a child.

In the first imagination scene, Durango Doug is seen and described in a song as a mean looking, heroic and tough desperado striding through the Western desert, brushing his hair and his teeth with a cactus. He then spots a rattlesnake and grabs and ties it to his waist as a belt. A branding iron with his name on it, gets branded on a Western map.

A second imagination scene appears after Doug and the others are at the Buck Dude Ranch and he sees the horse he is riding; a mean looking horse named Sugar, which Doug is terrified of. In this scene, Durango Doug is striding through a Western town, now described in the song as a spineless coward who runs at the slightest sign of danger, which he does when he hears the whiny of a horse in the distance and runs and hides in the nearest water barrel. This time a branding iron with the picture of chicken is branded on the Western map to show his cowardice.
